Do you love to create and edit social content, videos, and graphics? Do you have a passion for crafting and writing?

I might just have the perfect role for you!  

I am looking for an employee to help us at JenniferMaker as a Social Content Creator!

This position focuses on creating aesthetically pleasing images that accompany written text, and may produce social media videos on occasion. The ideal candidate will be experienced with using a variety of creative software programs and have an eye for color schemes, fonts, and shapes, as well as be familiar with the JenniferMaker brand.

The person who is right for this position has experience in graphic design, social media execution, and copywriting.

While perhaps not quite yet an expert, this person does have a solid grasp of Adobe Photoshop, as well as familiarity with the JenniferMaker blog, courses, and ebooks, and a basic understanding of crafting and making.

This position involves a combination of creativity, attention to detail, follow-through, and it has high expectations for meeting deadlines. Project management skills and experience are a plus.

Position Details

Status: This is a full-time employee position (not a contractor position).

Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week; flexibility and ability to pivot is a must.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $31.00 per hour

Special Note: As a JenniferMaker employee, you will not be able to engage in any outside activity that could be construed as a conflict of interest, such as running or working on your own or someone else's blog or crafting business.

Responsibilities

  • Create graphics for tutorials, advertisements, social media, and the JenniferMaker blog.
  • Produce engaging photos and videos that help showcase why JenniferMaker is recognized as an industry leader.
  • Ensure branding is consistent across all channels.
  • Understands the impact photos and videos make on our brand and for our company, and ensures the photos and videos meet brand and quality standards.
  • Understands that copyrights and ownership for designs created for the JenniferMaker brand will belong to the brand.
  • Understands and uses the JenniferMaker products and projects so you can answer questions and support our crafters.
  • Effectively communicates with the team and meets with us weekly on Zoom video chats.
  • Has the best interest of the JenniferMaker brand in mind.
  • Helps us look good to our readers and customers.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Additional duties as required by management.

Things You've Done in the Past

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in graphic design.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have successfully completed college level graphic design, film/video production, or related classes.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience coordinating a social calendar utilizing best practices for Facebook and Instagram. Preference may be given to candidates possessing additional experience with Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Demonstrated experience writing and editing community-oriented social content, capable of writing "in voice" and within brand guidelines.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Canva.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cricut and sublimation crafting.
  • Experience working with a virtual team.
  • Photography and videography skills and experience are a plus.
  • Project management skills and experience are a plus.

Wants to learn how to blog or run a business from Jennifer. As an employee, you will not be able to have your own blog or craft-related business, as that would be a conflict of interest and split your focus. This position requires 100% focus on growing the JenniferMaker brand and community.
